Legendary Encounter: Giraffe Male Lions on the Move

This unforgettable image, a longtime favourite and my former channel logo captures a dramatic moment in the Manyelethi Game Reserve (Greater Kruger) during the summer of 2017. Three Giraffe male lions cross the northern boundary, into the Thanda Impi male lion's territory. The Thanda Impi's could keep the Giraffe males at bay for a year protecting the Mbiri and the Nharu pride. Unfortunately, a few Mbiri cubs didn't survive the takeover. This image is one of my top 5 personal favourites and a moment in time that I will never forget!
